i.Fairy Ruby Red circle lens review~ ♥

Hello~!!

Not that many people read my blog, but I'm sorry for not posting for so long!!! ; A ;

The tasks I had to do at university made me quite busy > <; I still haven't even done all my homework~~

Anyway, onto the review!!! >:3

i.Fairy Ruby Red circle lens information:
Series: Ruby
Colour: Red
Diameter: 16.2mm
Base Curve: 8.6mm
Center Thickness: 0.04mm
Water Content: 55%
Lens' Lifetime: 1 Year Disposable (recommended 6 months).
Power Range: Plano. (But you can get from 0~850 Degree)

My friend bought these lenses for me from Geo-lens house on Facebook! http://www.facebook.com/pages/Geo-Lens-House/111387182218902?fref=ts

Item: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=123077091049911&set=a.123065904384363.15093.111387182218902&type=3&theater

They were pretty affordable and the shipping wasn't too expensive!

Photo thanks to Trung Do :)

This was my most recent use of the contacts, for my Karakuri Burst Rin cosplay!!

I really love these contacts, despite having bright blue eyes, if it's not too bright outside, the contacts look amazing! Otherwise it's still not too bad! ^-^

In regards to comfort, the high water content makes them really comfortable! And I don't usually have to use wetting solution until after 5-6 hours, they stay comfortable for quite a long time!

Photo courtesy of Michael Nguyen :D

The colour is lovely and vivid, even in slightly darker shots! And I think that the design of the Ruby red makes it suitable for both cute and scary cosplay! Since the large black edge is good for a dolly and dark sort of look. So I would also recommend it to gothic lolitas as well as cosplayers who are going for an edgy or scary look to their eyes!

This lovely shot, taken by Neil Creek Photography!
I tend to like wearing larger contacts because I like the dolly eye effect on me! And my eyes don't seem to agree with 14mm contacts as much for some strange reason, so I love these contacts since they are massive!!

Onto the verdict!

Comfort: 10/10
Colour/Strength of colour: 9/10
Price: 9/10
Overall: 9/10!! ♥

Much love for these contacts and I will be sad when I have to throw them away, but if I ever need red contacts, I will be sure to buy them again! ^^

Apologies for the Unannounced Hiatus m(_ _)m

お久しぶり~

Haven't had a lot of time to post, nor have I had any time to post any tutorials or videos or even blogs ; A ; I'm shameful~ XD

Anyway, so I bought a crapload of contacts (five pairs to be precise) which I shall be reviewing soon! I shall also be posting more videos as well and eventually I'll actually get around to making a Facebook page for my videos and reviews to all be followed easily in one spot! ^-^ It sounds silly, but it will just be a page to archive it all and make it more accessible to those who don't really have a google/youtube account and for close friends who want to check out my blog/reviews without having to get a google account!

So I've been up to a lot since my last blog ; A ; So I'll do a summary for you!

Basically had a blast a Manifest 2012 in August, despite staying up until ungodly hours of the morning finishing cosplay preparations and crying. I got 45 minutes sleep the night before Manifest Saturday ; - ; Yeahh... my bad. I wasn't as prepared as I thought I was and forgot to do things... Never going through that again. I had somehow conjured up a Fate/Stay Night/Zero cosplay group, and I went as Saber, and my best friend went as Gilgamesh! ^-^ Two of our friends joined us as Archer and Kotomine Kirei (the Fate/Zero version of Kirei). One of our new friends was kind enough to be our Rider, and she looked gorgeous! We also bumped into some Fate/Zero cosplayers who practically abducted us at the Melbourne showgrounds and took us out to the carpark for some group photos.

Behold, the 'planned' Fate/Stay Night/Zero crossover group. Photo credited to Henry Tiong, who did his best with the ridiculously harsh sun making us all squinty!

This was the improvised Fate/Stay Night/Zero crossover group that resulted from the kidnapping, photo thanks to Michael Bosa ♥ Many awesome photos were taken at that shoot.

Don't mind me, I'm now going to photo spam! ^-^

The photos thanks to Regan Lau!! ♥

An action shot of Archer and Saber~
I was so happy with Excalibur, Justin made all three of our swords and did an amazing job for his first time ever making a wooden sword by hand and painting them all on his own too.

Kirei (Dylan), Gilgamesh (Yasmin) and Rider (Rachel) ♥♥ They look amazing :3

An improvised shot of Kiritsugu Emiya and Kotomine Kirei.... I recall Dylan being legitimately fearful for his life at that stage...
One of the best derp shots of the day, Gilgamesh and Rider make the best faces ever~
Probably my ultimate favourite shot of the day (left). Archer, Kirei, Gilgamesh and Saber. Dylan was described as the most "jovial" Kotomine ever. His face, and my awkward clawing at Gilgamesh's armour makes me laugh everytime!!!

Well, I'll leave it at that for now, since this post has already gone on long enough, and will post about a few more events that I have attended over the next couple of days.

MelCosPho 11~!!

Hello~~ ^-^

MelCosPho 11 (09/06/2012) was a great way to kick start my holiday before uni starts again!! I got to wear my Daisuke Niwa cosplay, without the wings this time (they have lost quite a few feathers ; - ;) and some brand-spankin'-new red contacts from i.Fairy which I will be doing a review on sometime this week :3

Red i.Fairy contacts!! *0* I love them~~

Yasmin, who was my Dark was also wearing circle lenses for the first time :3 Purple ones!! :D

We got to hang out with Hannah for most of the day as well at being able to catch up with Dat, Moyashi, Rin (Stocking cosplayer), Jess (Grell cosplayer), as well as a few people from the Deakin Anime Club! It was really great to see everyone even if  I didn't get much chance to talk to them since everyone was running around taking photos and running from the rain! I even got to meet many new people! I was really pleased to meet everyone!

One of the many big group photos!! (Taken by Lachlan Downing - Down the Lens Photography)
But yes, you read that right. It rained! It was mostly just that annoying spitting rain but at some stage it poured down for quite a while!! But after that it wasn't so bad! ^-^

Enjoy some picture spam!

A photo taken on a friend's phone - These four are from the Deakin Anime Club!
A photo of Yasmin and I with Caroline from the Anime Club! It was so cold that we had to put our jumpers on!

Left to right: Hannah, Yasmin, Caroline, Me, Seele 01, Andrew, Annalisa and Sam! (Taken by Henry Tiong!)

This was also the first time I'd ever been to a MelCosPho and actually been spammed by photographers! It was actually a really nice feeling! It made me feel very humbled yet happy that the effort I put into my costume (despite it being reletively simple to make) as well as the effort I put into putting in my contacts for the first time (I was so afraid it took me HALF AN HOUR to put ONE CONTACT in my eye. Yes, ONE contact! I was just scared, but the second one was much easier to put in.) had all paid off in the end.

A photographer going in for a close up as he loved the different colours and the vividness of the contacts I was wearing. (Photo taken by Henry Tiong).
One of my favourite pictures that Henry Tiong took and uploaded! (Henry Tiong Photography).

Another highlight of the day was having the wonderful opportunity and honour of being a part of a photoshoot with Lachlan Downing of Down the Lens Photography. It was lovely of him to spend a portion of his day taking photos of us!

Here's just a little bit more spam before I'm done!

A photo taken on a friend's phone of Caroline, Yasmin and I as we are having a group photo taken! ^-^

It was so cold! If you could look closer, you'd be able to see my goosebumps! - Taken by Lachlan Downing
A profile shot, unfortunately the weather was behaving in the strangest way, so it was a little difficult to get the right light. Despite that, these photos still look awesome! - Taken by Lachlan Downing.

After MelCosPho 11, Dark and I headed off to get something to eat as we were ravenous by nearly 2pm! We headed off to Ramen-ya to grab a yummy bentou and then we headed home as it was starting to get late ^-^

I had such an awesome day, and I already can't wait for the next MelCosPho!! Oh and Manifest and everything in between!! I am so pumped! 'Year of the Cosplay' Bring it on!! >:3

Hehe ^^;;

みんな、気をつけてね!
Take care, everyone! ^-^

GACPS Cosplay Comp ^-^

Hello hello~

I hope you are well~ ^-^

So! My best friend and I went to the Greater Asia Corporation Prosperity Sphere's (GACPS) first ever cosplay competition!! We spent the previous week making our cosplays and ran into many troubles!! ; 3 ;

Like how I stitched my collar in a way that there was no possible way it could fit over my fat head without a zipper.... =_=" *heavy sigh*

Oh well~~!!! ^-^

Yes, this was my first cross-play ever and I probably wasn't very good at it > <" But that's okay!

(Above) Me as Daisuke Niwa from DN Angel, sorry for the blurry picture! (Below) My best friend as Dark Mousy! She did a great job with the poopie wig that she bought from Dr. Tom's... (She actually hates that wig a lot... The fibres are plastic...). We're both being our usual derpy selves at Nandos in Melbourne Central!
The competition was held in the NGV Studio in Melbourne, Australia. It was a small area, but there were about 10-15 cosplayers and an audience of maybe 30 with 3 judges and 2 hosts! Everyone was very nice and taking lots of photos. It was great to meet some new people!!

It was my first time ever entering a competition and I was so nervous, my binder started to feel a little more constricting than before!! I was worried, but survived haha! ^^;;

We were asked questions by the judges and some people did improvised acts ; A ; which both my friend and I were too afraid to do ; A ; Next time!! XD

A picture of the two of us that a new friend had taken! ^-^ She was really sweet! Such a pretty Ciel cosplayer~ *O*
It was a Grell cosplayer who won the major prize! We had the same name, but I knew that it couldn't have been me XD But she did really well! So congratulations~~ ^w^

~♥~

On another note, my mid-trimester holidays are coming up soon!! Yaaay~ one whole month off uni~!! So I will definitely be starting my Saber cosplay!!! (Fate/Stay Night)  Asdfjhdfuaehwfjbncvugabwhfusdh I AM SOOO EXCITED TO START ^-^

Anyway, take care~ ♥

Thank you for reading!
